The transfer of a large number of ships and cargo to surrounding ports has also aggravated the congestion of surrounding ports.
Maersk also mentioned that truck services entering Yantian Port to transport containers are also affected by traffic congestion around the terminal, and it is expected that empty trucks will be delayed by at least 8 hours.
Prior to this, due to the outbreak of the epidemic, Yantian Port closed some terminals in the west area and suspended the export of containerized goods. The backlog of goods exceeded 20,000 boxes.
